Treatments can be used to remove stagnation from the body, ease pain, correct specific health issues, help you re-balance or manage your way through a difficult period, or simply to maintain your existing good health.
The healing aspects of touch and sound have been known for centuries. The touch itself can ease pain and improve the sense of harmony, simply by allowing Body to realign its vital energy and blood flow that has been disrupted by stress or disease. Not surprisingly, mothers cuddle their upset children and sing them songs, or we hug friends who are sad or in grief.
Massage relies on the principle that a therapist can access the conscious intelligence of an individual through the body. Indeed, emotions and experiences leave marks in all aspects of Self. One can therefore encourage healing of Mind and Body, as well as Emotions, by releasing specific blockages and tensions in the body and opening the communication between all aspects of Self.
The connective tissue, which embeds everything, carries the information to all places within. Knowing that everything within an individual is related and communicates fully with everything else, gives one power to address any issue by working on related aspects of consciousness.
An individual is healthy when Qi, the life energy and conscious co-creation power, is balanced and flowing freely. Dis-ease occurs when there are blockages in the flow.
Sound and voice were likely the primary healing modalities which worked by affecting the nervous system and calming Mind. Tui Na and Cupping were developed to affect the physical Body and to remove the blockages of Qi. They have originated through an extensive and diligent observation and testing between body functions and related health issues. Over time specific areas were mapped out on the body, that when stimulated, influenced the function of a particular organ. These areas are called acupoints.
Acupoints that affect the same organ are mapped as a path on the body, and become a series of invisible channels. Qi, the life force energy or conscious awareness, is thought to flow through these channels. Such channels are specific to Acupuncture and Acupressure.
In Tui Na, larger areas of the body are also addressed, which are also connected into collaterals of muscles and connective tissues related to specific organs and their functions.
Thanks to working on both the physical aspects and energetic pathways, the offered treatments will affect Body and Mind. They will help you to establish a harmonious flow of Qi and bring Body and Mind back to balance. As a result, you will become an Integrated Self.
One of the discriminating skills of a healing massage is the quality of touch, or vibration, that communicates loving attention, understanding, stillness (hence possibility), and anticipation of the unknown. Essentially, it is the awakening touch that comes with a strong intent, as it happens in Tui Na, Cupping and Singing Bowl massage. When combined with knowledge on energetic pathways, it stands up to the promise of liberation from pain, stagnation and stress.
